Summary of Your Involvement

• More than 1,700 people attended public
events and gave input.
• More than 1,600 people on the mailing
list received newsletters.
• More than 130 letters, emailed
comments and calls were received.
• More than 60 outreach briefings
were conducted with neighborhood
associations and ward organizations.



 

 

 

 


Next Steps


• Review public comments from the September open houses.
• Recommend a preferred MetroLink alternative to East-West Gateway
Council of Governments’ Board of Directors.
• Board of Directors will decide whether or not to support the study team’s
recommendation.
• If the board approves the recommendation, then all or parts of the
recommended alternative could be considered for federal funding.
• If selected for funding, an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will be
conducted to study the economic, social and environmental effects of the
proposed alternative and to evaluate how to minimize any adverse impacts.
